At your first visit we take diagnostic orthodontic records which include x-rays and photographs of the patient’s teeth. These records will help Dr Mortensen to study the positions of the jaw and teeth and make a thorough diagnosis.
After records are taken Dr. Mortensen will do a short and easy intraoral examination on the patient. He will present to you the different options available for treatment. After discussing your questions and concerns, a treatment plan will be made. Dr. Mortensen values your input at this critical point of planning, as well as throughout active treatment.
If the patient is ready to start we can place small rubber spacers between the back teeth to provide space for orthodontic bands and allow us to start treatment at the next visit.
